Coming Soon: SRA News Lists Move to Google Groups

In the next month or so, all of our e-mail lists will move to Google Groups. If you already receive SRA e-mails, you’ll be notified by e-mail when this happens, and automatically added to our new lists: Just watch for an e-mail from Google Groups and follow its instructions. If you don’t receive SRA e-mails and would like to, please e-mail to phunnicutt@collegiate-va.org. We strongly recommend you sign up; these e-mails are the best way to get the latest SRA news.

Join Us April 24 at 9 a.m. to Get SRA Ready for Opening Day!

Spring and fall SRA workdays provide a sense of community and keep our great facility looking fresh. SRA families enjoy seeing each other, and students earn community service hours. We’ve had several successful workdays in 2010. In February, we organized the clubhouse closets and kitchen cabinets. In March, we trimmed the bushes, tore down the bench around the big tree by the picnic tables (check out the pictures at www.sra-fun.org), and tidied and de-gumballed the Janet Trivette Memorial Playground.
Please join us for this very important workday! Questions? Contact Jay Bush JLBush03@comcast.net.

Register for Summer Activities at Our Open House, Thursday, May 13

Don’t miss our Open House on Thursday, May 13, 5:30–7:30 p.m. There’s no better time to register for all those great summer activities at SRA. Tennis Pro Lynn Bybee will be on hand to answer all your tennis questions. You can sign the kids up for swim team, basketball camp, arts and crafts, and all the other great camps and classes you’ll read about on these pages. Adults can register for deep water aerobics or adult swim conditioning. Placement for classes and camps is first-come, first-served, so take this great opportunity to register early.  The Open House is also a good time to RSVP to all of our fun summer events, like the slide party, ladies night and the crab feast.
If you can’t join us at the Open House, you can register for activities during our May office hours.

Family Night Thursdays

Join us for a great time at Family Night, Thursdays June 17–August 12, 6–9 p.m. Pack a picnic dinner or purchase one from the snack bar, and let the kids have fun with their friends and big floats in the pools. This is the only time during the pool season that large floats are permitted in the pools.
